The 2015 trustee election opens at 5.00pm on Friday 30th October.
The 2015 trustee election is for two (2) vacancies. The term of office for the positions commences following the announcement of the election result at the Annual General Meeting of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Mutunga to be held at 10.00 a.m. at Urenui Pa on Saturday 12th December 2015.
The first vacancy is by rotation and is for a three (3) year term. The second vacancy is for the casual vacancy created by the resignation of Raymond Tuuta at the beginning of the year and is for a two (2) year term, being the remainder of the original three year term.
There was one applicant for the two year term, and under the no election rule, if there is only one candidate for the vacancy then that candidate is declared elected to the position.
Jamie Tuuta was the only applicant and is declared elected to the Board for a two year term.
There were three candidates for the three year term, so an election is required.
The candidates are Rodney Baker, Melissa Henare, and William Simpson.

Alongside the trustee election this year we are running elections for iwi representatives on two external boards.
The election is for one (1) board position representing Ngāti Mutunga iwi on the Te Reo Irirangi o Taranaki Charitable Trust, and one (1) representative on the board of Te Whare Pūnanga Korero. The term of office for the positions is three (3) years and commences following the announcement of the election result at the Annual General Meeting of Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Mutunga to be held at 10.00 a.m. at Urenui Pa on Saturday 12th December 2015.
There was one applicant for the this role, and under the no election rule, if there is only one candidate for the vacancy then that candidate is declared elected to the position.
William Simpson was the only applicant for the role, and is declared elected to the board of Te Reo Irirangi o Taranaki Charitable Trust.
