Pou Tangata Workshop Series

Pou Tangata Workshop Series

We’re excited to share that our Pou Tangata Workshop Series has been a hit, designed to keep our whānau engaged and excited about learning new things!

Leveraging the incredible skills within our iwi, we’ve organized a range of fun and interactive workshops led by talented facilitators. These sessions offer our whānau the chance to learn something new or refine their existing skills.

With limited spaces available, each workshop has been filling up quickly. The fantastic feedback we’ve received shows that we’re on the right track and that our whānau appreciate what we’re offering. Each workshop is held twice, with 15 spaces available in each session.

Our second workshop featured a fried bread session led by Robyn Cooper. This event was a great success, with participants not only learning the art of making fried bread but also taking home a bag of delicious, freshly cooked bread to share with their families.

Next on our schedule is a Poi earring making workshop, facilitated by the talented Audra Potaka. We can’t wait to see what creative designs will come out of this exciting session!

We also have Poi making, Taonga Puoro and Raranga coming up

Thank you to everyone who has participated so far, and we look forward to more engaging workshops ahead!
