Grounds and Maintenance June 2024

Grounds and Maintenance June 2024

After close to a decade of working across our properties. Our old ride on mower that has kept our properties well-manicured has worked its way to retirement. We have upgraded our Walker ride on to a new B27i 48 deck, and the new injection system has already been very noticeable on fuel costs.

Our work at Onearo River Road is progressing well and the fruit trees are coming along slowly.
If you have any fruit tree’s you wish to plant, please advise me or drop off to the maintenance shed and I will organise the planting. The watercress patch is also coming along nicely.

The Tautaratuhi Urupa maintenance is progressing well. The blue water units
are now fixed in place. We also kindly ask whanau to please secure their plastic adornments as the strong winds blow these items around and items can occasionally end up in our river. Sadly, we have had to remove the green waste bag due to misuse. Please remember to take with you any waste items such as bottles etc.

Alot of work at this time of year going into hedge cutting and removing of pest plant control such as woolly nightshade, wattle and gorse at and around Onearo and Okoki pa.
