 COMMERCIAL MOWING AND MAINTENANCE POSITION

Location: Urenui, Taranaki

Type: Part-time

Description

Mower operator and maintenance person required. You will be working for Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Mutunga mowing grassed areas on properties owned by the iwi in and around Urenui. You will also be performing general property and section maintenance including weed control on these properties.

The sites range from buildings with sections to grass strips and residential sections, and the role would also include regular mowing of the lawns at Okoki Pā and Urenui Pā.

You will be a motivated self-starter who takes pride in your work, and must be prepared to work in adverse weather conditions. You will have an understanding of how machinery works and demonstrate common sense and initiative.

You will have knowledge of Ngāti Mutunga tikanga, and some te reo ability is also preferred. The ability to interact with people in a courteous and friendly manner is also required.

You will have a full clean driver’s license, and a vehicle suitable for towing a trailer with commercial ride-on mower. Your vehicle must be registered, warranted and fully insured.

Working hours may vary, so some flexibility is required.
