Important things to note for the weekend:
1. We will set the gazebo up on Friday morning between 9am – 11am. Larnee and I will predominantly be based from here, come see us if any matters arise throughout the weekend.
a. The gazebo will be the collection point for coordinators, to pick up the sports uniform, please encourage your players to wear black bottoms suitable for your sport.
b. We will have a first aid kit and sunscreen available.
c. There are water stations available, we encourage everyone to bring their own bottles, we will not be supplying any single plastic bottled water.
2. Carpooling is the best whanau! Princess Street will be closed from Bayly Street to Clifton Drive. Parking will be on Clifton Drive and the corresponding streets. There is a drop-off area for Kaumatua.
3. St Johns will be at the event should any injuries/accidents occur over the weekend.
a. In the event of an emergency, the alarm will be sounded, please follow all instructions if this occurs.
4. It is the responsibility of each coordinator to pick up your sports tops and collect them at the end of your games and return them to Larnee and/or I. We have numbered them all, and will know which ones haven’t been handed back, however we don’t want to have to chase people to get them back, we want to be able to use these tops for other events over the next few years. Please ensure you hand these back.
5. Lunch will be available at the gazebo from 12 – 1.30, this will be a BBQ, and there will be other kai to have throughout the day. This is for all the sport codes playing at Whai Tapuwae no Rongo.
6. All other sports codes that are playing offsite will have lunches delivered to your venue.
7. Hangi for Sunday will arrive at 1pm, this will be available from the Ngāti Mutunga gazebo, buffet style.
We have purchased plates, forks, and serviettes for those that will be present.
