The Te Puamomao Nationhood Building Decolonisation training at Muru Raupatu Marae was a resounding success. Focused on the Treaty of Waitangi, the Declaration of Independence (He Whakaputanga), and Cultural Intelligence, the training provided participants with a deeper understanding of these critical historical documents and their modern relevance.
Through active participation and sharing of personal insights, the training fostered a collaborative learning environment. The Marae setting added cultural depth to the experience, enhancing the understanding of nationhood and decolonisation from historical, legal, and cultural perspectives.
