The Tātai Tangata ki te Whenua o Ngāti Mutunga programme kicked off with an exciting kanohi ki te kanohi wānanga, where participants had the opportunity to meet one another face-to-face. This interactive session helped set the foundation for the programme, allowing everyone to get to know each other, receive a comprehensive programme overview, and be given a resource admin pack to guide them through their journey.
Since then, the programme has been in full swing, with three engaging online Zoom sessions and two valuable face-to-face wananga held to date. Each gathering has focused on fostering strong relationships, learning, and collaborating while keeping everyone up-to-date on the growth and development of their individual māra (gardens).
Participants have been actively sharing progress and celebrating milestones in their māra projects, creating a strong sense of community and support among the group. The programme has proven to be a powerful platform for participants to learn, grow, and connect with one another as they continue their journey together, rooted in the values and teachings of Ngāti Mutunga.
With many more opportunities ahead, we are excited to see how the whānau continues to flourish and grow both personally and as a collective.
